With the weather as depressing as it is in the depths of winter, I thought it might be nice to post a few photos of Chris & Josie’s Somerset marquee wedding back in June. The sun shone all day. In fact it was a stinker of a hot day!
I love the very homely and personalised feel of a back garden wedding, but this was something special. Chris & Josie were formally wed at Taunton registry office in the morning with close friends and family. The main ceremony / blessing was then held in the grounds of the family farm nestled in some picturesque Somerset countryside.
Looking back, I think every wedding would benefit from a bit of Dad dancing down the aisle! This was a lovely relaxed and fun afternoon with a huge party to see out the evening, topped off with a sparkler send off at the end of the night. I loved Josie’s Jenny Packham dress, definitely one of my favourites of the year!
Hat tips should most definitely go to Thea at Flowers by Thea for the bouquets and amazing hanging silk flowers. How long did it take to hang those up?! Hair was done by Alan Brendry & Co, and make up by Another Little World. Jam Hot were on fire!
Here are some of my favourites from the day…
