What a day. What a wedding! Matt & Katie’s Leeds Club wedding featured the mother of all entrances, a brass band, the Beatles, and a bugle! It was a day packed with style, pace and full of emotion.
I met with Katie and her bridesdamids at the house in Meanwood, Leeds, whilst they were getting ready before heading over to Alfred’s bar just around the corner to catch the pre ceremony get together, returing just in time for the final bridal preparations. Katie looked stunning in her Ronald Joyce dress from Boutique Bride with an ornate pearl backdrop, and the flowers from Stems Design looked simply beautiful. The wedding ceremony was held at Holy Trinity church just a stone’s throw from the house.
Matt had a dapper suit designed for the day with custom made tweed which tied in nicely with their Autumnal wedding theme. The table decorations had been foraged from woodland near their home and the wedding favours were hand made pocket mirrors filled with wildflower seeds which I thought was a really nice touch.
There are so many great moments to mention, not least the procession as Matt and Katie made their arrival in a vintage wedding car which brought Leeds city centre to a standstill, or the impromptu first dance out in the street. But I think my favourite has to be the speeches – great as they were, but made even more special by the best man who’d secretly hired a choir to ‘flash mob’ the top table towards the end. Dressed as waiters, no one had a clue what was happening until they started to sing ‘All You Need is Love’. Everybody joined in, the atmosphere was electric!
This was a wedding that really kept me on my toes – plenty of photos for this one, enjoy!
