They’re even better than we’d dared hope! There are some genuinely lovely photographs of both of us and some brilliant photos of our guests and bits of the day that we didn’t see ourselves. We will treasure them! It’s an amazing body of work for just one person and we’re so grateful for your efforts.”
It was July, and just twelve hours before I woke up for Tom & Wynne’s Folly Farm wedding it was forecast to rain all day. Then, driving over in the morning with umbrellas in the back, the sun was shining and I was thinking “isn’t this beautiful, such a shame it’s going to pour down”. Well, someone must have been looking down on them both because there was a miraculous turn around and it stayed that way for the rest of the day – very breezy but with clear skies for the most part. We even managed to eke out a sunset!
It was my first time photographing a wedding at the Folly Farm Centre. The grounds are nestled within some beautiful Somerset countryside just a few miles from Bristol & Bath near Pensford. The views are stunning, and I loved the area so much I came back a week or two later to have a walk around the 250 acre nature reserve with the family.
Tom and Wynne started the day by getting ready onsite, just a few yards away from each other. Tom was in stealth mode for much of the morning. After the ceremony it quickly became apparent just how much this day meant to them – they couldn’t stop hugging each other! Completely in to each other whilst being totally oblivious to my presence, just the way it should be!
I’m sure the weather played it’s part but there was such a lovely, relaxed vibe to the rest of the day as friends and family enjoyed themselves in the sunshine.
Tom & Wynne you are such a lovely couple and I’m so grateful you asked me to capture your day.
