Back for a little more Berwick Lodge wedding photography! Last year saw me photograph at this beautiful wedding venue on no less than three occasions, this being the second with the super cool Steve & Sarah.
I love coming back to Berwick Lodge. It’s one of my favourite Bristol wedding venues, chock full of character and with plenty of places to explore outside. This time we hopped into an adjacent field to catch the last of the setting sun for some portraits. Yes we had some great light, and some of those images made it into my best of 2019! The other thing I really like about Berwick Lodge is that the grounds are always being improved. On this occasion I noticed that some of the woodland had been cut back to reveal a view through to the Severn Estuary. Whether by accident or design, this allowed some welcome evening sun to seep through to the garden which would otherwise be obscured. This made for some great photo opportunities!
Steve and Sarah are a really fun and relaxed couple and had big smiles on throughout the whole day. Although Steve is an avid Villa fan so I did feel a little sorry for him :) Their friends and family were an awesome and fun bunch too.
They both got ready at the venue which made it really easy to catch both ends during the morning. Sarah looked scorchio in her Enzoani wedding dress, with her good friend Lou from Kaikouda Beauty providing the makeup. Hair was by the Tonic Hair and Beauty House, and have a look at those gorgeous South African Protea’s from Alexandra Sylvester – they’re huge!
A few other honourable mentions should go to Martin from White Rose Wedding Films who was a pleasure to work with. And then finally the Brotherhood who really know how to get a wedding party started!
A massive thank you to them both for having me along and for being so much fun on the day. Their wedding day was truly beautiful – have a look!
