New favourite venue alert – time to show off a bit of Court Farm wedding photography! It was the end of September, and man did I enjoy this one. Court Farm in Standerwick is a beautifully picturesque farm house venue with a cottage, rustic barns, gardens and surrounding fields. The weather helped too, with a perfect summer send off of warm, bright sunshine and a crisp clear evening. Yes, it also comes with sunset included :)
I remember doing a little jig when Katheryn and Jonny booked me for their Longhouse Wedding . It’s a day I’d been looking forward to for a long time as they were getting married at Stourhead in Wiltshire. If you haven’t heard of it, Stourhead is a world famous 18th century landscaped garden and National Trust property. It is (in my humble opinion!) one of the most beautiful places in the country and we find ourselves there at least once or twice a year. read more
Looking back through Nick & Rosie’s Guildhall Wedding photos in Bath brought back some fun memories. The following images were taken a couple of months ago on another sweltering hot day in June. Immediately after the ceremony Nick and Rosie walked straight out to the back kitchen. ‘Did you want a quiet moment alone?’ I asked. ‘No we’re just going to cool off in the air conditioning, we’re baking!’ read more
I’ve been waiting a long time to shoot some Thornbury Castle wedding photography, and I finally got my chance last month courtesy of Johnny & Rob. These two fine chaps (and their cohort of best people) met on a mountain almost 10 years ago and have never looked back. Coincidentally I hiked the same mountain – Kilimanjaro – just the year before! read more
It’s been a few weeks since I photographed Dan & Beckie’s Clifton Suspension Bridge Engagement Shoot. Having been rained off the day before, we decided to start nice and early to beat the Sunday crowds. As a bonus we were blessed with some crisp morning light. It was close to zero, and behind the lens I was layered up to the max! That still didn’t stop my fingers turning to icicles by the end of it but it was well worth it. We walked our way over the bridge and up and around the observatory and generally had a bit of fun. Dan & Beckie are getting married later this month and I’m really looking forward to it!
