It’s time for a spot of Folk House wedding photography from Bristol city centre. Yet another little surprise Bristol has thrown up, as until now I never even knew this venue existed. Possibly because of the discreet entrance just off Park Street which I must have walked past a hundred times!

I was so pleased that Faye and Neil asked me to capture their Manor House wedding. The Manor House Hotel lies just on the edge of Castle Coombe, a traditional and very pretty little village in Wiltshire. It’s often used as a film backdrop and is worth a visit on it’s own. The Manor House is an equally stunning venue both inside and out as you’ll see from the photos. The grounds are enormous!
I’ve been in the thick of it of late and it’s been a while since I last blogged. So I’m really pleased to show you a first from this summer with Pippa & Andy’s Somerset garden wedding. They were married at a pretty little church in Babcary, before heading across the village for a marquee reception. With Andy being in the army they had an accompanying guard of honour which always adds a little bit of extra specialness.
It’s about time I shared some of Shaila & Oliver’s Assembly Rooms wedding photos! Roll back to a sunny Friday in September. A day that was neither too hot nor too cold – perfect ‘operating’ temperature for me at least! S&O got in touch at the beginning of the year after finding my details on the Bath Venues website. They both live in Denver Colorado, and during a quick skype call I warmed to them immediately. Oliver grew up in Biddestone, not far from Bath, and as he managed to win the wedding toss they brought a whole host of their American friends over with them.
Last year I was given the opportunity to be Amy & Tim’s Pennard House Wedding photographer. If you haven’t heard of it, Pennard House is a bit of a hidden gem in terms of Somerset wedding venues. Tucked away in some of the most idyllic countryside, this Georgian manor and coach house is set in secluded gardens and surrounded by woodland and meadows. Photography wise, I was spoilt for choice! It also happens to be somewhere close to my heart, just 10 minutes away from the site of Glastonbury festival. In fact this beautiful country house is usually taken over at that time by music industry types and is full of festival memorabilia. There’s also a nod to Glastonbury with it’s own tipi field that guests can hire for accommodation.
