Jonny & Nelo’s Tortworth Court Wedding was always going to be a little bit different. When I say ‘different’, I mean chaotic – but of the organised kind! Their wedding was a half English half Iranian affair, and with Nelo being American a lot of the guests had traveled over from the USA. My somewhat limited experience of Iranian weddings so far has taught me to just fly by the seat of my pants and roll with it. And what’s wrong with that?! We’d already discussed the day in detail and the likelihood of everything going according to plan. By the end of the night everyone had had a brilliant day to remember – including myself!

When I came to look through Tracy and Jess’s Matara Centre wedding photos to write this blog post, it made me realise (yet again) just how lucky I am to be doing a job I love so much. I can remember every couple and every day at work, apart from those many hours lost in the editing cave! Picking out my favourites has brought back so many happy memories and forgotten feelings.
Back in September I drove up to Gloucestershire for Katie and Craig’s Elmore Court wedding. I met Katie and the bridesmaids at a lovely little cottage in the countryside called Hartleton Lake Retreat. The sun was shining, and a relaxed morning was spent here getting ready before heading over to Elmore Court for the wedding ceremony.
It had been almost a year since Emma & Frank’s Dyrham Park pre wedding shoot by the time their wedding day came around – a year! Where did that go? I’d been looking forward to taking their Kingscote Barn wedding photos ever since meeting them. Sometimes you just get a feeling from people and you just ‘know’ it’s going to be a pretty special day, maybe because Emma didn’t stop laughing? But that’s exactly what happened – just an awesome day from start to finish, with plenty of emotion and laughs included!
It’s seems it’s been an age since I last blogged a wedding and there’s so much to catch up on. It’s been one heck of a busy summer and with the birth of our baby boy some things have had to take a back seat.
