I had a smile on my face for much of the time whilst editing these images, it was such a pleasure working my way through them and reliving Emma & Alasdair’s wedding day. They’d picked two brilliant, contrasting venues for their wedding at Arnos Vale & The Paintworks, just a few minutes walk from each other, and the spring sunshine cast a beautiful light across much of the day – we were even lucky enough to catch an unexpected sunset!

So my first post of 2015 starts with my last wedding of 2014 – and what a wonderful way it was to finish the year off! Rosie & Ben’s Roman Baths winter sunrise wedding ceremony shortly before the new year was a small, intimate affair with bags of atmosphere. The Romans Baths make for an enchanting wedding venue, and have always had a different ambience each time I’ve photographed there. This time was no different – with temperatures down to near freezing, the early morning light and steam rising from the warmer water gave a dream like feel to proceedings. read more
Stick an eclectic mix of Brummies, Welsh and Iranians in one of Somerset’s finest wedding venues, and what you’ll end up with is a party of handkerchief waving epic proportions (not your usual hankies mind, these ones are bling). I had no idea things would get this crazy, but Joe & Leyla’s Orchardleigh House wedding will stay in the memory for a very long time! read more
This week I’d like to share Nicola & Adam’s Matara Centre wedding from way, way back in sunny July. Having shot their pre wedding shoot at Matara a few weeks earlier, I’d had my fingers crossed for some more golden sunshine. Apart from the odd rain shower during the day, I was really pleased for them that we lucked out again at just the right time. read more
Claire & Paul held their St Audries Park wedding over the summer near West Quantoxhead. Surely one of Somerset’s finest wedding venues? St Audries is a grand old building surrounded by acres of parkland, with lots of nice spots inside and out for taking picturesque photos. The beautiful setting however was just a backdrop to what was already going to be an amazing day. read more
