It’s been a few weeks since I photographed Dan & Beckie’s Clifton Suspension Bridge Engagement Shoot. Having been rained off the day before, we decided to start nice and early to beat the Sunday crowds. As a bonus we were blessed with some crisp morning light. It was close to zero, and behind the lens I was layered up to the max! That still didn’t stop my fingers turning to icicles by the end of it but it was well worth it. We walked our way over the bridge and up and around the observatory and generally had a bit of fun. Dan & Beckie are getting married later this month and I’m really looking forward to it!

It’s been an age since I last blogged any engagement photos. Most of these sessions take place during the spring and summer months. But last November saw me hop on a bus to make a trip across the M4 to meet up with Jennifer and Sam for their London pre wedding shoot . You’ll notice the weather wasn’t exactly on our side – but then I do like a challenge! It was pretty much non stop drizzle for the few hours we were together. In fact one of my cameras LCD even got partly frazzled – aren’t they supposed to be weather sealed!? Lesson learnt. read more
Last Saturday saw me bring the camera out from hibernation over the holidays and it felt great to be back in action. Rachel & Greg wanted an urban feel to their engagement shoot prior to their wedding in April, and opted for St Werburghs which is where Greg used to live. read more
Not too long ago Evelyn & Ross opted to have their pre wedding photography at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire. I don’t take any credit for that, as it was their idea to tie the shoot in with the changing Autumnal leaves. Having been to the Arboretum a few times before I knew how pretty the landscape would be, but I was blown away that day by the display of colour – they’d timed it perfectly! Clearly a lot of people knew about it too, as there was a long queue to get in to the car park first thing in the morning. With so many people around one of the challenges was going to be keeping the crowds out of shot, as it must surely have been one of the busiest days of the year. read more
