It was July, and just twelve hours before I woke up for Tom & Wynne’s Folly Farm wedding it was forecast to rain all day. Then, driving over in the morning with umbrellas in the back, the sun was shining and I was thinking “isn’t this beautiful, such a shame it’s going to pour down”. Well, someone must have been looking down on them both because there was a miraculous turn around and it stayed that way for the rest of the day – very breezy but with clear skies for the most part. We even managed to eke out a sunset!
Jonny & Nelo’s Tortworth Court Wedding was always going to be a little bit different. When I say ‘different’, I mean chaotic – but of the organised kind! Their wedding was a half English half Iranian affair, and with Nelo being American a lot of the guests had traveled over from the USA. My somewhat limited experience of Iranian weddings so far has taught me to just fly by the seat of my pants and roll with it. And what’s wrong with that?! We’d already discussed the day in detail and the likelihood of everything going according to plan. By the end of the night everyone had had a brilliant day to remember – including myself!
I’m delighted to be able to share Chris & Kirsty’s Paintworks wedding photos in Bristol. I’ve photographed at the Paintworks a few times now and I love it for its funky urban vibe. It’s got a great variety of locations for some cool portraits, and a large courtyard and event space you can put your on own stamp on. I first met up with the guys in the morning, tucking into bacon buttys in one of those silver Airstream diners just outside the Paintworks. From there it was a short drive over to meet the girls getting ready at the house.
Today I’d like to share something a little bit different with some of Shaila & Oliver’s Roce Wedding Ceremony Photos.
When I came to look through Tracy and Jess’s Matara Centre wedding photos to write this blog post, it made me realise (yet again) just how lucky I am to be doing a job I love so much. I can remember every couple and every day at work, apart from those many hours lost in the editing cave! Picking out my favourites has brought back so many happy memories and forgotten feelings.
